Lecture + Lab Students
Students in the Lecture+Lab course will attend lectures and participate in all lab activities, including group projects that provide hands-on experience in sample collection, sample preparation, isotopic analysis, as well as data interpretation, visualization, and dissemination. Group projects will culminate in a 15-minute presentation to the class summarizing the objectives and key findings of the study.
Lecture Only Students
Students in the Lecture course will attend lectures and have the opportunity to gain some hands-on experience in the laboratory via a group project using existing samples or materials that can be easily collected around campus. Lecture students are encouraged to interact with instructors and lecture+lab students. Lecture students will also give a 15-minute presentation to the class summarizing the objectives and key findings of their group project.
